Patent-Pending Process Yields Performance:
PPT's unique combination of high porosity (80%), small uniform pore size (<1 micron), and strength in a thin membrane is ideally suited for use in lithium-ion batteries. With the highest ionic conductivity in the industry, it enables greater battery power, capacity, and cycle life and can reduce charge time.
The benefits of PPT's patent-pending products are unique - the process used to produce leading commercial separators is inherently limited to <50% porosity, and those with higher porosities are generally too thick and/or too expensive for use in lithium batteries. PPT separators offer similar performance improvements in ultracapacitors, and separators for other battery chemistries have been produced as well.
